BMI: China’s nickel ore, bauxite imports expect to rise in next few months
According to Dow Jones news on April 11th, BMI Research said in a statement, the next few months, Chinese nickel ore and bauxite imports will increase, because the alleviation of ore export ban on domestic production of metals in Indonesia made the import increased.
Indonesia's export ban was introduced in early 2014, Indonesia was largest supplier of nickel ore and bauxite for China.
BMI said: "ore imports will slow down since 2018, as China's economic growth engine transfer from heavy industry to service industry, China's refined nickel and refined aluminum demand will be reduced."
